Lagos residents lament over bad road


Residents of Ajeromi Ifelodun local government area, Lagos state, have called on government to take advantage of the dry season in fixing the bad roads and drainage system of the area...
In an interview with one the resident, Mr. Kolawola Adeniyi, he mention that, the state of roads in the area is an eyesore considering especially Temidere street, which is the major road connecting the biggest school complex in the state.


According to him, Tolu school has thousands of students with a total number of 39 public schools within the complex, therefore, the porous state of the road make students find it very difficult to ply that route to school.
In his own account, a motorist in the street, Mr Chukwuebuka Uche, lamented that they find it very difficult to commute during raining season, due to the fact that the street is usually flooded because the drainage system in the street are bad, and the road filled with pot holes.
However in an interview with the secretary of the Ajeromi Ifelodun local government, honorable Afolayan Mudashiru Biodun, affirmed that works are towards fixing the road.
Mudashiru said, “the government will definitely construct proper drainages, fix the road and even install street lights in the street.
“If you cross examine the area carefully, you will note that various road in the local government in such state are already undergoing construction, so I will only urge the residents of the street and others affected to exercise patience with the government, for the days of pot holes and bad drainages are numbered.”
