JOURNALISM VETERAN LAUNCHES 6TH BOOK



The vice provost of the Nigerian institute of journalism, ogba Lagos, Jide Johnson has urge the students to be great readers earlier today.This was said during the presenting of a new book written by the head of general studies, Dr Dele Omojuyigbe, titled Media Language and Ideologies, held at the institute auditorium. on the 30th march 2016...

Knowledge is power
At the event, a member of the editorial board of the nation newspaper, Mr Femi Macaulay , who did the reviewing of the book, made it known that the book centered on broadcast media language.
Also speaking, the provost of the Nigeria institute of journalism,Mr olugbemiga who launched the book with undisclosed amount of money in purchase of ten copies of the book into the in institute's library.  He also encouraged the student to buy the book to add great value to their lives.
However, the Author of the Dele Omojuyigbe established that the book encompasses how event, people,media and non-media practitioner can maintain fear and balances in contribution to media principles and idealogies.

Nigeria: Imo State’s Governor Okorocha Recalls Workers, Stops Concession


Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has immediately recalled all suspended workers of the state’s parastatals and stopped the concessioning process.
President of the NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabah who led the NLC in the negotiations with the government yesterday read out the agreement before the protesting workers shortly after the conclusion of negotiations.
It was agreed that the workers suspend the protests and return to work without fear of victimization. The agreement which took effect from January 2016 said government would source revenue which would be verified by the joint committee of government and labour.
Earlier, economic and social activities in Owerri, the state capital, were brought to a halt following a mass protest organized by labour. The organized labour shut down the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, all ministries and offices including the LGA and state secretariat as workers trooped out for the protest.
In his address during the protest, Comrade Ayuba Wabah demanded immediate recall of all sacked workers and stop of further sack without laid down procedures.
